How Albedo works
Marta spent nine years selling new developments in Lisbon before starting Albedo. Most of her buyers lived abroad, and most of their problems came after the offer: a missing licence, a translator who didn’t turn up, a deed date nobody had confirmed.
So Albedo was set up to handle the whole purchase, from the first viewing to the keys. Each region has one agent who lives there, and Rita, our purchase coordinator, keeps a written timeline for every sale from the CPCV to the keys.
We list 8 to 14 homes at a time and turn down listings we don’t think will sell at the price the owner wants. In 2025 we sold 47 homes, and 71% of the buyers lived outside Portugal when they made the offer.

About the name
Albedo is the share of sunlight a surface reflects. Lime-washed walls reflect most of it, which is why the old houses of the Alentejo and the Algarve are white and stay cool in August.
